The former Valu-Clean laundrette on Moville Main Street is set to become a home again.
A planning application has been submitted to Donegal County Council seeking permission to convert a former Moville commercial premises back into a home.
Applicant Paul Riley has applied for a change of use of a ground-floor commercial unit to residential accommodation, along with all associated site development works.
The property on Lower Main Street had previously operated as a laundrette and dry cleaners, known as Valu-Clean, but the business closed its Moville branch in recent years, and the unit has remained vacant since.
Planning records show that the building was originally a dwelling before receiving permission in 2002 to be converted for commercial use as a laundrette. The current proposal would see the premises returned to their former residential purpose.
If approved, the development would involve converting the ground-floor commercial unit into a dwelling while carrying out the necessary site works associated with the change of use.

Donegal County Council is expected to make a decision on the application by April 16.
