The Moville Sea Scouts float is one of six finalists in the running for the grand €1,000 prize, set to be announced on Friday night, March 20.
St Patrick’s Day 2026 brought rain to Moville, but it did little to dampen spirits as a vibrant parade of floats lit up the town in resplendent colour.
Crowds gathered despite the grey skies, enjoying a lively showcase of creativity, humour and community pride, with one big question still lingering in the seaside air: Which float will claim the coveted €1,000 jackpot prize?
That answer remains a mystery for now, with organisers confirming that the overall winning float and runner-up will be revealed on Friday night, March 20.
The announcement will take place at The Corner Bar, Moville at 9pm, with anticipation already building.
Alongside the €1,000 prize for the winner, €500 awaits the runner-up, raising the stakes for the third consecutive year.
While the top honours are still under wraps, category winners have already been announced. Eurospar took Most Topical, while Redcastle Village Association claimed Most Original.

The overall winner will be chosen from this standout group of six finalists, adding further intrigue ahead of Friday’s big reveal.
Last year’s €1,000 prize went to the Foyle Beekeepers Association, while the Mummers of Moville were runners-up.
Meanwhile, in 2024, The Flower Box scooped the €1,000 jackpot, with €500 for the runners-up, Inishowen Vintage Club.
And the 2026 winners are . . . yet to be revealed!
