McLaughlin’s Shop and Cafe in Greencastle
Retention planning permission is being sought for an existing rear extension to McLaughlin’s Shop and Cafe in Greencastle.
The application by Bernadette McLaughlin of Sea Ray Limited relates to the retention of a north-facing, single-storey extension to the rear of the existing shop building. The structure is finished with white dash render and a blue/black mono-pitched roof, designed to match the existing finishes of the premises.
The extension provides additional cold-room storage, kitchen space, and ancillary facilities, supporting the day-to-day operation of the long-established village business.
McLaughlin’s has been a family-run village shop since 1977, and in 2015 the business expanded to include a coffee shop, serving both local residents and visitors to the Greencastle area.
