Strong turnout at Community Centre reflects local interest in understanding wills and making future arrangements

There was a fantastic turnout in Carrowmenagh for a workshop aimed at helping local people plan for the future and understand the importance of making a will.

The event, held on Monday evening, October 12, was organised by Inishowen Development Partnership and provided attendees with valuable information on putting their affairs in order.

Local solicitor Roisin Doherty delivered an informative and engaging presentation, explaining the importance of making a will and helping participants gain a better understanding of the process involved in planning for the future.

James McIvor, from Citizens Information, also attended the workshop, providing additional support and useful information to those present.

IDP expressed its gratitude to Ms Doherty for sharing her expertise and to Mr McIvor for taking the time to assist participants and answer questions.

A special word of thanks was also extended to Rosaleen and all the staff at Carrowmenagh Community Centre for their warm welcome and assistance in hosting the event.

The strong turnout was welcomed by the organisers, who said it was wonderful to see so much interest from the local community in a topic that can often be overlooked.

Making a will is an important step in ensuring that a person's wishes are clearly recorded and that arrangements for their estate are considered in advance.

The workshop formed part of the ongoing efforts to provide people in Inishowen with access to free useful information and practical guidance on issues affecting their everyday lives.
