The company said continued investment in community infrastructure is vital in supporting local activities

Buncrana Youth & Community Development Company Ltd has welcomed the successful approval of funding under Donegal County Council’s 2026 Development Initiative Fund for the purchase of much-needed foldable stacking chairs at its Castle Avenue facility.

The additional seating comes in response to growing demand for the use of the centre and its community facilities, which continue to host a wide range of youth, community and local events throughout the year.

Management at Buncrana Youth & Community Development Company expressed their gratitude to Donegal County Council for supporting the application and helping to improve resources at the busy community venue.

Buncrana Fianna Fáil County Councillor Fionán Bradley recently presented the new chairs to PJ Hallinan, Chairperson of BYCD.

Speaking following the presentation, representatives of the organisation said the new seats will greatly enhance the flexibility and comfort of the facility for the many groups and individuals who use the centre on a regular basis.

The company said continued investment in community infrastructure is vital in supporting local activities and services for people of all ages across Buncrana and the surrounding area.
