A kind-hearted Inishowen has raised close to €2,000 for COPD Ireland.

The money was raised by the Gallagher family, Malin Head at a family barbeque held in August 2022 in memory of Frances Coffey who passed away in early 2022.

This money will be put towards setting up a COPD support group for Inishowen in early 2023.

Antoinette Doherty HSE Advanced Nurse Practitioner said: “There is a need for a venue where individuals and their family can meet and share information and express their voice.”

Catriona Gallagher, who along with John Gallagher, hosted the barbeque said: “The generosity of people was unbelievable and more should be done to fundraise for COPD.”
