Members of the Byrne family handed over a cheque for €20,000 to the Malin RNLI fundraising branch following a charity cycle from Mizen Head to Malin Head in memory of John Byrne who passed away in July 2022.

The 72-year-old was well-known for his local voluntary work, which included the RNLI and Malin GAA. Four of his nine children completed the charity cycle to mark the first anniversary of his death. Stephen, Johnathan, Gráinne, and Lochlainn took part in the 675km cycle and were joined by family and friends along the way. Donations can still be made to Mizen Head to Malin Head for Malin RNLI on iDonate.
