Bernie Doherty and Coreen Robinson got an unexpected surprise when they went for a sea swim at Neds Point on Tuesday July 23.
The pair swim year round and have been doing so for the past five years but this was the first time they ever found something like this.
A message in a ‘Football Special’ bottle which was sent by a young girl from Down who was on her holidays in Creeslough.

The pair have yet to get in contact with young Rachel, however they plan to send her a postcard from Buncrana to show her where the bottle ended up.
The bottle along with the message has been returned to the ocean to see if someone else will find it.
