Busy end to August planned in Malin Head

Malin Head Heritage Group is hosting its annual heritage day in the Malin Head Community Centre

There will be a busy end to August in Malin Head with local groups organising three events for the summer’s final weekend.

The Malin Head Community Centre is hosting a car treasure hunt on Sunday, August 25. Cars can leave the Community Centre any time from 3pm to 4pm. Car treasure hunts have been very popular family events in Inishowen this summer with hunts in Muff, Clonmany and Greencastle well supported and enjoyed. The entry fee is only €10 per car.

Also on Sunday, August 25, the Malin Head Heritage Group is hosting its annual heritage day in the community centre from 2pm to 6pm. This is always a very informative event and there is always plenty of time for a chat .

Doc’s field at the Seaview Tavern will also be  hosting a cars and coffee event in aid of the Foyle Hospice on the same day.

Vintage, classic and modified cars and tractors are all welcome. Registration is between 11am and noon. Spectators can enter from noon and prizes are presented at 3pm. Check out the Malin Head Community Facebook page for more information on these events.
