There was great excitement, lots of nervous energy, joy and relief on Friday morning at Crana College. Principal Kevin Cooley is extremely pleased and proud of the achievements of this year’s Leaving Certificate and Leaving Cert Applied students, not to mention the hard work of their teachers, and the support of their parents.

There were many excellent performances among their high achievers and the principal is equally proud of all his students who stuck with it and worked hard in subjects that they found difficult and succeeded, with the support of their teachers, in passing these subjects.  These are wonderful achievements and he congratulates everyone involved.

“The most important thing for students today is to remain calm, not to panic or feel depressed or to compare results unfavourably with others” commented Mr Cooley.

Moya Logan and Erin McLaughlin are happy with their results

“It is very important to remain optimistic over the coming weeks as offers for third level and higher level are processed and places become available.  I am confident that there will be options for everyone so long as they are persistent, patient and flexible. For now, it is important that students enjoy the moment, celebrate their success wisely and safely and look forward to the next stage of their career” concluded Kevin.
