On Tuesday, September 10 to mark world suicide prevention day Insight Inishowen (Inishowen's suicide prevention charity) joined with Buncrana GAA at the Scarvey to remember those who have died by suicide and to recommit themselves to preventing suicide across Inishowen.

“A massive thank you to those who joined us, despite rain and wind earlier on, at 7pm the skies cleared for just long enough for us to re-create the Connecting For Life logo - a reminder that everyone plays a part in suicide prevention, we need each other and we can work together to make a safer, more resilient and more caring community,” said a spokesperson for Insight Inishowen.

They’d also like to thank Adam Rory Porter for the photography and taking the drone shots for them.

Anyone in the Inishowen area can call 24/7 on their listening ear and counselling service phone 0871708743 to ask for help for themselves or loved ones.  Their next ASIST course  (two day suicide prevention training course) takes place on October 2 and 3 in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel.
