Following a recent fundraising campaign, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Letterkenny is thrilled to announce it has raised a total of €3,400 for the St Colmcille Hostel for the Homeless.

St Colmcille Hostel is a vital local organisation dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness in Donegal. The funds will be used to help provide hostel accommodation in the community for the more than 60 people who are currently homeless in Donegal.

The fundraising campaign culminated in a Sleep Out on the TCS campus on May 9, where 18 TCS employees volunteered to spend the night outdoors to raise awareness and funds for the cause. The team then embarked on the Darkness into Light walk the following morning.

TCS staff recently presented the cheque for €3,400 to Mary Maguire from the St. Colmcille Hostel.

“We are deeply grateful to TCS and their employees for their continued support,” said Mary Maguire, who runs the St. Colmcille Hostel. “This donation will allow us to continue providing essential services to the most vulnerable members of our community.”

The funds raised by TCS staff will directly support St Colmcille Hostel for the Homeless in providing hostel accommodation in the community for the more than 60 people who are currently experiencing homelessness in Donegal.

TCS staff would like to thank everyone in the local community who supported their fundraising efforts.

Lara Byrne, TCS employee, who participated in the fundraising campaign said: “Participating in the sleep out was a humbling experience. It gave us a small glimpse into the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness and motivated us to raise as much money as we could for St. Colmcille Hostel for the Homeless, who are doing incredible work in the local community”.
