‘Your support could make the difference between life and loss’

A doctor at Letterkenny University Hospital is appealing for help to finance her father's medical treatment.

Originally from Sudan, Shima Alhindi left the war-torn country in search of safety, first fleeing to Saudi Arabia. Then, Dr Shima moved to Ireland, settling in Donegal; however, her father stayed behind.

However, now her father has been diagnosed with advanced cancer, “amidst the trauma of war, displacement, and the struggle to build a new life, tragedy has struck again and her father has been diagnosed with advanced cancer,” fundraising organiser Orla Molloy explained.

“He is battling advanced laryngeal cancer requiring extensive surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. Shima is now fighting the hardest battle of her life: not as a doctor, but as a daughter trying to save her father's life from thousands of miles away, with limited resources and mounting medical bills.”

“Please donate generously to help Shima with medical expenses. Every contribution brings hope. Every moment matters.

Help Dr Shima Save Her Father's Life
