Letterkenny Pipe Band's 25th anniversary year has been ‘memorable’

Letterkenny & District Pipe Band has described 2025 as a "memorable" year. 

The pipe band, which celebrated its 25th anniversary, has upgraded to a 4a through partaking in St Patrick's parade in New York and taking second place at the World Championships. 

Letterkenny & District Pipe Band have participated in numerous festivals, including the Fleadh in Dungloe and Warren Point. The band also organised the inaugural Northwest solo championships.

“At the end of our 25th anniversary year, we would like to wish all our members, families, friends and supporters a very happy and peaceful New Year,” they posted. “2025 has been a memorable one for us. As part of our celebrations, we organised 25 years of Burns night variety show last January and a dinner dance celebration in October.

“As we reflect on great memories of 2025, we look with excitement and anticipation towards 2026. Happy New Year! Thanks for all your support.”
