An example of bollards which were installed along the N13
New bollards are to be installed on Main Street in Manorcunningham due to concerns that the current speed ramps are too far apart.
Keep-left bollards are to be erected between the speed cushions to prevent traffic from driving in the middle of the road to avoid them.
The works will be carried out as soon as the materials are obtained and the work can be arranged.
The issue was raised with the Letterkenny-Milford Municipal District this week by Cllr Donal Coyle, who said he had brought the same matter before the council around two years ago.
“The problem with the ramps is the distance between the cushions is too wide and cars are landing between the ramps,” Cllr Coyle said.
Cllr Coyle said he was not fully convinced by the proposed solution.
"I would have thought the simple solution would be to remove the cushions that are there and put them in at a proper distance," he said.

A spokesperson said the matter would be discussed again with the engineer and reviewed further.
