Letterkenny's Church Lane is set for a new health food eatery with a 'Himalayan Café' sign being placed over the door this week.
"This are getting there," reads a teaser of a social media post. "Finally the wait is over. Coming with a new cafe in Letterkenny,' which was followed up with a 'first look at the kitchen' post.
"We feel incredibly fortunate to be right next to such an important historical location. The rich history and cultural significance of this landmark is truly inspiring, and we're honored to be a part of this community.
"As a cafe, we strive to offer a unique experience that combines great coffee and delicious food with a deep appreciation for the local history and culture. We've worked hard to create a space that's warm and welcoming, and we hope that our customers will feel a sense of connection to the area's past as they enjoy their coffee and meal. Stay tuned, we will be opening soon."
The site in Letterkenny's Cathedral Quarter was previously 'Wholegreen' under Anna Good and then Michael and Mary Black had 'Black Square Café' before its closure on New Year's Eve, with Michael saying at the time: “I have no doubt that this can continue and there is a place and need for this business on the Church Lane. It is ready-made for someone to step in with zero work to do."
