Further Letterkenny businesses set to install solar panels

Two more Letterkenny businesses are planning to install solar panels on their premises.

Optibelt Urethane Belting, based at the IDA Business Park in Ballyraine, have sought planning permission.

An application was submitted by Trevor Henderson to Donegal County Council on behalf of the company. They are seeking the go-ahead for the erection of 828 square metres of solar photo voltaic panels.

Glencar Shopping Centre has also sought permission for the installation of solar panels to the existing building roofs.

In both cases, ancillary development works are included as part of the application.

Donegal County County Council expect to have a decision on each made by mid-October.

The Mount Errigal Hotel, the Radisson Blu Hotel and Tobin’s Service Station are among the other businesses in Letterkenny to have been granted similar developments in the last 12 months.
