Michael Harte, inset, edited the new Netflix documentary on David Beckham
Netflix will launch its four-part David Beckham documentary this week, with Letterkenny native Michael Harte the editor of the series.
Produced by Beckham’s own company, Studio 99, in association with Ventureland, the four-part documentary speaks to Beckham, his family, friends, and teammates about the former footballer’s life and career to date. It starts with his upbringing in east London, followed by his footballing career and life since. It will be released on Wednesday, October 4. Watch the official trailer below:
Beckham is directed by Academy Award-winner Fisher Stevens (Palmer, And We Go Green, The Cove), and produced by fellow Academy Award-winner John Battsek alongside Nicola Howson and Billie Shepherd. David Gardner and Gary Neville are executive producers, with Tim Cragg as director of photography and Harte as editor.
Having studied Communications at DCU and then a Masters in Film Studies at UCD, Michael’s most notable credits include the multi-award winning Three Identical Strangers and Don’t Fu*k With Cats, which won a Bafta for best editing. His other credits include the Emmy nominated On The President's Orders’ and Torn. Most recently, he was editor on Still: A Michael J Fox Movie.
