Letterkenny University Hospital (LUH) is one of five hospitals that will begin carrying out abortion services this month.
LUH joins St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny; Letterkenny University Hospital; Wexford General Hospital; Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise and Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe will bring the number to 17 out of 19 hospitals in the south, according to the Irish Times.
Cavan General Hospital and South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel, will begin the procedures next year. The abortion bill into law in December 2018.
