Letterkenny Music and Drama Group after performing ' All Shook Up'
Letterkenny Music and Drama Group presented Elvis Presley’s ‘All Shook Up’ at An Grianan Theatre, Letterkenny. The multi-award-winning group sold out the show for all five nights from the end of November to the beginning of December.
“And that’s a wrap!! Well, we have had the best week bringing ‘All Shook Up’ to five packed out houses in An Grianan Theatre, and what a show it was,” Letterkenny Music and Drama Group shared on social media.
“From the beginning of auditions in August, we have had the most fun putting this fabulous show together and the feedback from the audiences this week has been unreal, so thanks to everyone who came to see it and supported us.
The group was also delighted to welcome new members of all ages, as well as new faces from outside Letterkenny such as Strabane, Lifford and Gweedore.
“The LMDG family has grown with all our new members, and we can’t wait to get back together again. But for now, everyone is going to have a well-deserved rest!”
‘All Shook Up’ is a musical comedy with a spirited story set in 1950s America with music from Elvis Presley.
The Letterkenny Music and Drama Group had a bit of a shake-up themselves, as this is the first year since the retirement of director Pluincead O'Fearraigh. Pluincead has been synonymous with quality productions since the group's foundation in 1991. Long-time members Tina Higgins and Maire McGinley took over the reins to co-direct and choreograph this year’s production.
