Gardaí warn Letterkenny car vandilist: “We would much rather he came to us”

An Garda Síochána has warned a boy who caused criminal damage to come forward.

Gardaí understood that the boy, who was accompanied by two girls, deliberately caused a large scrape to the passenger side of the car as he passed it on Letterkenny Main Street.

The boy and the girls were walking in the direction of Upper Main Street/Old Courthouse at the time. The incident of criminal damage occurred at 7:30pm on Tuesday, December 12.

“We appeal to road users who may have dash cam footage from the area around that time to make it available to Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100,” a Garda spokesperson told DonegalLive.

“We appeal to the boy in question to come forward. CCTV is being checked from businesses in the area.

“We would much rather he came to us than the other way around.”
