The Termon Drama Group are delighted to bring the hilarious play The Maiden Aunt by Jimmy Keary to Kilmacrennan Community Hall for three nights.
The curtain will open on Friday, February 16, with Saturday 17 already sold out and Sunday 18, each night at 8pm. Tickets are €10 and are on sale in The Millbridge shop Kilmacrennan, Gracies Stores (Kevin’s) Termon or by contacting 087-7716511 or any of the cast.
The Maiden Aunt is set in the farm home of Dan and Mary Murphy along with their son John Paul who has great ambitions of being a musician alongside his friend Jarlath.
Mary’s maiden aunt and retired school teacher, Gertie O’Grady comes to stay after a stint in hospital. The Murphys' mission is to get Gertie to make her Will in their favour. Francie Gilholley is their 60-year-old farmhand, who thinks he can charm any woman. Throw the ever-bright Caroline Quinn and the extremely efficient Paula Moore into the mix, for much fun and laughter.
This year they would like to welcome John McNamara to the group he takes on the role of Dan Murphy, Caroline Dorrian is Mary Murphy; Deirdre Gallagher is The Maiden Aunt, Gertie O’Grady; Henry Gallagher plays the part of Francie Gilholley; Stephen Ferry plays John Paul, Gerry McTaggart is his side kick Jarlath, Lisa McCafferty takes on the role of Paula Moore and Madeline McDaid is Caroline Quinn.
Tickets are selling fast, Saturday night is sold out, and Sunday night is in aid of the Upkeep of Kilmacrennan Community Hall.
