Mevagh’s annual St Patrick's Day parade preparations are well underway.

Mevagh St Patricks Parade has developed into a major attraction both in Carrigart and surrounding areas and gives everyone the chance to showcase the creativity we have in our local area.

This is our 14th year and the event is growing from strength to strength and attracting International media coverage and this year we will be streaming the event live via their Facebook page ‘Mevagh St Patrick’s Day Parade’. Floats are coming fast, and we hope to build on the success of previous years.

Prizes for winners, and also prizes for best float as Gaelige. The parade will commence at 1pm and the ever-popular John Bosco will be entertaining the crowd from 12.30pm. All vehicle floats to assemble at chapel car park from 12.30pm and walking groups from Logues Bar, Carrigart at 12.45pm.

If you, your business, club or group are interested in taking part in this year’s parade or helping out, please contact Maggie on 083 1444590 Martin 087 1212352. Please note there will be traffic diversions in place around Carrigart from 12.15pm on
