Glenswilly NS Debate Team with the Principal Mr. Joseph Gallinagh, members of the Teaching staff and adjudicators
Glenswilly National School (NS) emerged victorious in the County Final of the Concern Primary Debates, held earlier this month.
The two participating schools, Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál, Letterkenny, and Glenswilly NS, went head to head debating the motion: The business sector has the most important role in achieving the SDGs in Ireland.

The debate was of a very high standard and the pupils from both schools were excellent in proposing and opposing this motion. In the end, the three adjudicators made the difficult decision that the school proposing the motion was carried, which meant that Glenswilly NS were the winners.

The event was organised by the Donegal Education Support Centre and the Director Kieran McTaggart commended both schools, the pupils and their teachers on their achievement and thanked Principal Joseph Gallinagh and his staff for the warm welcome and for hosting it.
This is the second year in a row that Glenswilly NS have won the county debate final and we wish them the very best of luck in the regional final.
