The mixed squads from Friday night's charity football match, which took place at Leckview Park in Letterkenny
A charity football match took place on Letterkenny as part of the fundraising drive for the three chosen charities for this year's North West 10k.
The three benefitting charities this year are the Kilmacrennan, Termon, Gartan, Churchill and Trentagh Community First Responders, Cara House Family Resource Centre and the Letterkenny Community Childcare Centre, with the North West 10K to take place in May.
On Friday at Leckview Park, former Letterkenny Rovers players Terence Shiels and Darren McElwaine arranged squads for the charity match. Shiels' side raced into a two-goal lead with goals from Ciaran Doherty and Paddy McDaid, only to end up losing 3-2 on the night with Kieran Doherty scoring twice before McElwaine chipped in the winner.
Susanna Shiels will be hosting a Night at the Races in the Swilly Inn Letterkenny, on Saturday, April 27, from 9pm. There will be a raffle on the night and also a prize for the best-dressed lady. Donations and purchase of horses can be made to Susanna on @susannc3ux on Revolut and @sudodon on PayPal, or by calling into Letterkenny Community Childcare F92 PF29, or on the night.
