Allen Wylie Memorial Tractor Run raises €38,370 for charity

Members of the Wylie family this week presenting money raised to two charities

Members of the Wylie family presented the funds raised at the Allen Wylie Memorial Tractor Run.

Presentations were made to St John's Oncology Ward, Crumlin Children’s Hospital - €8000 in memory of Cameron White - and €30,370 to the Good & New Cancer Bus. The bus provides free transport from Donegal to Galway to people affected by cancer. It doesn’t receive any funding from the Irish Cancer Society, the HSE or the government.

The Allen Wylie memorial vintage tractor run in remembrance of the farmer and agricultural contractor who was always willing to help people in need, took place in Letterkenny in May, followed by a charity auction. Allen was renowned for his fundraising prowess, raising well over €100,000 for charity from 2010 to 2018 through eight Wylie tractor runs. The Wylie family want to thank everyone who helped with the tractor run and made it such a success.
