A fundraiser in memory of Leona Harper will take place in Letterkenny later this month.
Fourteen-year-old Leona, a native of Ramelton, was one of 10 people tragically killed in the Creeslough Tragedy in October 2022, following an explosion at the local service station.
A car show featuring vintage, modified, super and classic cars will take place at Snugborough in Letterkenny on Sunday, July 28, from 12 noon till 3pm to raise money for Critical - Emergency Medical Response and Mevagh Fire Station, Carrigart.
“These services were there on the 7 October 2022 helping with Creeslough tragedy,” Donna, Leona’s mother, posted.
The other victims of the tragedy in Creeslough were five-year-old Shauna Flanagan-Garwe and her father, Robert Garwe (50); Catherine O’Donnell (39) and her 13-year-old son, James Monaghan; Jessica Gallagher (24); Martina Martin (49). James O’Flaherty (48), Martin McGill (49) and Hugh Kelly (59).
