Run over three stages between the months of January to April, the competition culminates in a national final in the RDS Dublin

Letterkenny Credit Union is delighted to host the annual schools' quiz tonight at 7pm in the Mount Errigal Hotel.

The Credit Union receives over 50 teams each year from schools across its common bond. The Schools Quiz, which attracts more than 25,000 participating students nationwide each year, is the largest competition of its type in Ireland.

Run over three stages between the months of January to April, the competition culminates in a national final in the RDS Dublin on Sunday, April 6.

Winners from the regional rounds will progress to the final where 100 teams will compete for the title of champions, with a prize fund of €4,000 to be shared among the competition category finalists and winners.

The competition is divided by age group into two categories. Competition A is categorised for entrants under 11 years of age and Competition B is for children under 13 years of age.

Letterkenny Credit Union have Martina Garry - Credit Union Director - in the Quizmaster seat for the second year in a row.

“The annual Credit Unions School Quiz is always a great way to kickstart the year, for students, their families, teachers, and everyone associated with the competition,” she said. “The quiz is very much in the spirit of the credit union movement and the role we play in communities around the country, and we are proud that it is such a fixture for so many.
