The development project began in late 2024
Infrastructure works at The Common in Lifford are near completion.
The €2.5 million development project began in November 2024, and the enablement works are near completion, according to the Donegal County Council’s Senior Development Officer, Daniel McChrystal.
Speaking at the Lifford-Stranorlar MD meeting on Wednesday, August 12, Daniel said, “The actual enablement works are all but substantially complete. I’m currently waiting on the final invoices from ESB and on the review of the final invoice from the contractor.”
The primary purpose of the enablement works is to install the baseline utilities and access required to turn a major greenfield site on the N14 near the Apple Green service station into a multi-use community hub.
A total of twelve acres are available, which can be used as a whole site or split into two six-acre sites
Companies that are interested in obtaining a site are asked to contact the Economic Development Department or Daniel McChrystal to express interest.
