Castlefin set to officially launch new Autism Friendly Town initiative

The Autism Friendly Town initiative will launch at St Mary's Hall in Castlefin next Thursday

Castlefin is proud to announce the official launch of its Autism Friendly Town initiative.

This community-led project aims to make Castlefin a more inclusive, understanding, and supportive environment for autistic people and their families.

The launch is taking place on Thursday, October 9 at 7:30pm in St Mary’s Hall, Castlefin, F93 RYD3. The night will be a celebration of this important step forward and a chance for the local community to come together.

William from the ASIAM charity, Ireland’s national autism charity and advocacy organisation, will be in attendance to explain the Autism Friendly Town programme and how it empowers communities to be more accessible, compassionate, and aware of the needs of autistic individuals.

Refreshments will be served on the night and everyone in the community is warmly invited to attend.

The Autism Friendly Town programme works with businesses, schools, community groups, and residents to create welcoming environments where autistic people can thrive. By joining the programme, Castlefin is taking meaningful action towards inclusivity and ensuring that no one feels excluded from community life.

Local businesses, organisations, and individuals are encouraged to attend and learn how they can play their part in supporting Castlefin’s journey as an Autism Friendly Town.
