Donegal gardaí pay tribute after sad passing of Little Blue Hero, Adam Patrick

Tributes have been paid following the sad passing of beloved Donegal teenager, Adam Patrick McDonnell.

Adam, aged 14, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home in Convoy on Monday.

Donegal gardaí have led tributes to Adam, who was an Honorary Garda in the Little Blue Heroes programme.

They shared: “We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Honorary Garda Adam McDonnell from Convoy. Our thoughts and prayers are with his parents, Neil and Rachel, his big brother James and his extended family and friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. Our little colleague, our good friend and our hero forever. Rest in peace Adam.”

Family and friends are welcome to call to Adam’s home, 2 Manor Court, Convoy, F93P621, today Tuesday February 3, from 5pm to 9pm and tomorrow Wednesday, from 1pm to 9pm. 

Funeral leaving from his home on Thursday, February 5 at 1:30pm going to St Ninian’s Church, Convoy for a Service of Celebration for his life at 2pm, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. Family flowers only please, donations in memory of Adam to the Little Angels School, care of any family member or Terence McClintock Funeral Director.

Family time please on the morning of the funeral. His parents have asked that anyone attending the funeral on Thursday wear bright colours, as bright colours always made Adam smile.
