Ciaran Brogan and Jimmy Kavanagh back on board at Letterkenny LEA

Following the 13th count, both Ciaran Brogan and Jimmy Kavanagh surpassed the quota of 1,629, which means there are three in the running for the final two seats in Donegal

Ciaran Brogan and Jimmy Kavanagh have secured the fourth and fifth seats on the Letterkenny LEA.

Following the 13th count, both men surpassed the quota of 1,629. Brogan of Fianna Fáil moved onto 1,822 with 201 transfers and Kavanagh, Fine Gael, picked up 116 for 1,685.

It means the duo join Fianna Fáil's Donal Mandy Kelly, Gerry McMonagle of Sinn Féin and Tomás Seán Devine, 100% Redress Party, in the seven-seater. 

There are now three in the running for the final two seats. Michael McBride (1,572), independent; Fianna Fáil's Donal Coyle (1,212) and Mary T Sweeney (1,129), Aontú, and next Brogan's surplus of 193 will be split.
