Letterkenny University Hospital hit by damage to phone systems

The phone systems at Letterkenny University were down for a time on Thursday due to damage to a cable.

A spokesperson for Saolta said: "During upgrade works to the phone network at Letterkenny University Hospital today Thursday January 5th, the IP telephone system cable was damaged, resulting in the system being offline for a short period.

"The system has since been restored. Internal services remained unaffected by the unscheduled interruption."
