A retained firefighter recruitment drive is underway to fill roles in a number of fire stations across Donegal.
To facilitate those who would like to find out more about what is involved, Donegal County Council is hosting a number of Recruitment Open Nights.
They will take place in local fire stations as follows:
Donegal Town Fire Station: January 23, 7pm to 9pm
Glencolmcille Fire Station: January 23, 7pm to 9pm
Falcarragh Fire Station: January 24, 7pm to 9pm
Stranorlar Fire Station: January 24, 7pm to 9pm
Killybegs Fire Station: January 25, 7pm to 9pm
Anyone who is looking for more information can contact Fire Brigade HQ by calling 074 9121676. Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 9a to 4.30pm. Alternatively, those interested can email fireservice@donegalcoco.ie.

How To Apply
In relation to Stranorlar Fire Station and Donegal Town Fire Station, Candidates must live and work within a maximum distance of 2.5Km of the respective fire station. The location of residence and place of work must be acceptable to the Chief Fire Officer.
In relation to Killybegs Fire Station, Falcarragh Fire Station and Glencolmcille Fire Station, Candidates must live and work within a maximum distance of 3Km of the respective fire station. The location of residence and place of work must be acceptable to the Chief Fire Officer.
The Council proposes to form a panel of qualified candidates from which it will fill vacancies as they arise for the above posts.
The closing date for receipt of completed application forms is 12 noon on Monday, January 30.
