Can you assist Letterkenny Lions by donating your old eyeglasses and sunglasses?
The Letterkenny Lions Club is urging the people of the town and its surrounding district to support its latest appeal by donating their old eyeglasses and sunglasses.
Since 1925, Lions International has been a champion in helping to combat vision impairment and blindness.
In association with Donegal opticians, Letterkenny Lions Club has launched an appeal for donors of used glasses and sunglasses to deposit them in any of the following outlets: Specsavers Letterkenny and Dungloe and Anne McLaughlin, Letterkenny.
"It is only through the kindness of our eyeglasses donors that we can offer the gift of sight or sound to those in need. We will update if any more outlets come on line, " a spokesperson said.
To date the Letterkenny Club has sent 479 pairs of glasses to Lions International to be used worldwide.
