Milford Gardaí are investigating a couple of incidents of criminal damage to the signs for the Church of Ireland St Columba’s Church in Cashel, Creeslough.

The first incident occurred in September of last year, when a sign for the Church was broken. This sign was at the junction for Doe Castle in Cashel on the R245. That sign was salvaged and re-erected.

The second incident is believed to have occurred on February 10. A sign that was erected at the Junction for Carrigart (R245 and the N56) was bent and destroyed. Both signs are aluminium and brown in colour.

"We appeal to anybody who may have any relevant information in relation to these incidents to make contact with Gardaí in Milford on 074-9153060," said a  Garda spokesperson. "We urge the public to please contact Gardaí without delay should they ever witness vandalism or mindless acts of criminal damage."
