Donegal Town car park to close due to overnight tide surge flood risk

The pier carpark in Donegal Town is at risk of flooding

Motorists are advised that the pier car park in Donegal Town will close due to a risk of flooding.

The area flooded on Wednesday morning, and further flooding is likely on Thursday morning, with high tide at 6.40am.

Heavy rain and spring tides are combining to lead to the flooding likelihood. 

Motorists are strongly advised to respect the car park closure which is in effect from 5am to 8am on Thursday, March 23.
