Twin Towns Clean-Up takes place on Saturday

It's no April Fool's Day joke ...the Twin Towns needs a good clean-up and now is the time to do it.

The local Tidy Towns committee is spearheading a day of action tomorrow, Saturday, April 1 and they want locals to get involved.

Anyone with any spare time n their hands can visit the old parish centre at the St Mary's Church car park between 9am and 4pm and pick up their litter pickers, high-viz vests and bags and get involved.

The organisers are hoping for a coordinated approach so all areas are covered.

"This annual event encouraged a sense of community and gives the people of Ballybofey and Stranorlar a sense of pride in their area. We would like to see as many as possible taking part as it will help the appearance of the two towns and it's nice to see everyone taking pride in their own streets, estates, road and gardens," said local councillor and Tidy Towns activist, Patrick McGowan.

If you want to get involved come along on Saturday morning or call (074) 9190909 or (087) 6868438 for more information.
