A Night In Memory of Martin Duffy in Maggie's Tavern

There has been a huge community response to the event A ngiht in Memory of Martin Duffy which is being held in Maggie's Tavern, tonight, Saturday at 8pm.

The evening is being organised and hosted by Deele Harps FC. Martin Duffy was Mr Deele Harps, club secretary and a great friend to all.

The late Mr Duffy, a native of Ballindrait, drowned while on a family holiday in Greece in August last year.

Alice Lynch of Maggie's Tavern said the community response to tonight's event has been great adding that tonight will be ticket only as tickets were rapidly snapped up.

She said: "Tonight is about community, a night of gratitude and a night of giving back. Tonight will be an emotional night. It will also be a night of fundraising. This is a local night."

Music will be provided by various local singers and musicians.

"Deele Harps was his first football club and he did so much work for them and so much work behind the scenes," Alice said.
There will be a raffle and auction on the night. All proceeds will go to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.
