Joseph (Joe) Doherty, Ballsbridge, Dublin / Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Joseph (Joe) Doherty, Ballsbridge, Dublin / Donegal Town. April 25, 2023, peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Blackrock Hospice, Dublin, formerly of Donegal Town and the Central Bank.

Deeply missed and loved by his wife Deirdre, sons Stephen and Niall, daughter Joanne, his very precious grandchildren Karenza, Lauren and Daniel, son-in-law Andy, sister Colette and husband Peter. Also dearly missed by his nieces, nephews and partners, brothers and sisters-in-law, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Massey Bros Funeral Home, 5 Newtown Park, Blackrock on Thursday April 27 from 4-6pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, April 28, at 10am in Star of the Sea Church in Sandymount, followed by burial in Deansgrange Cemetery. William (Bán) Mc Fadden, Knockfola, Gweedore

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of William (Bán) Mc Fadden, Knockfola, Gweedore.

Sadly missed by his wife Annie, sons: Colin, Des, John & Pius, daughters; Frances & Celine, grandchildren; Caoimhe, Cianán, Odhrán, Aoibhe, Dáithí & Alannah, brothers; John & Jim, sister Kitty, son-in-law John, daughters-in-law; Pamela, Caroline & Tricia and extended family & friends. Predeceased by his sister Nellie.

Removal from the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, at 12 noon, tomorrow (Thursday) to Roarty's Funeral Home, Derrybeg (F92 DN4X). His remains will repose there until rosary time at 8pm. Removal then to his daughter Frances Gallagher's house, Upper Keeldrum, Gortahork.

House private that night, Friday, and on the morning of the funeral. (Family only). Funeral Mass in St. Colmcille's Church, Knockfola, on Saturday April 29 at 11am, with burial afterwards in Knockfola Cemetery.

Paddy Lyons, Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Paddy Lyons, Corraine, Ballybofey, peacefully at the Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved son of the late Michael and Bridget Lyons, much loved brother of Michael, May, Kathleen and John. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, sisters in law, brothers in law extended family, neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing at McCool’s Funeral home, Ballybofey, with visiting time on Wednesday, April 26, from 7pm to 9pm and on Thursday, April 27, from 5pm to 9pm.

Rosary on both nights at 9pm. Funeral leaving there on Friday, April 28, at 11.20am for Requiem Mass in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Glenfin, at 12 noon.

Anne Begley (née Houghton), Tipperary / Carndonagh

The death has occurred of Anne Begley (née Houghton) Avondale Crescent, Tipperary Town and  formerly Ard Colgan, Carndonagh, April 24, 2023; peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted by her daughter Sinead, son-in-law Niall, adored grandchildren Charlie, Tiernan & Robyn, Sinead’s father Frank, extended family, relatives, neighbours & friends.

Reposing at Fogarty’s Funeral Home, Blind Street, Tipperary, on Thursday April 27 from 5.30 pm to 7pm. Arriving to St. Michael’s Church, Tipperary Town at 11.45 am for Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Friday, burial immediately afterwards in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Tipperary Town.

John (Teish) Gallagher, Drumfin, Falcarragh

The peaceful death has taken place of John "Teish" Gallagher, St. Joseph's, Drumfin, Falcarragh.

Survived by his wife Bridie, his daughters Patricia, Eileen and Bernadette, his sons Danny, Joe, John Anthony and Paul. Also sadly missed by his sisters Margaret and Nellie, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sons in law and daughters in law.

His remains will repose at his late residence, Drumfin, Falcarragh F92 F791. Rosary each night at 9pm. House private after rosary each night until 10am and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass on Friday, April 28 2023, at 11am St. Fionan's Church, Falcarragh and burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Noel Crossan, 3 Hillcrest, Leck, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Noel Crossan, 3 Hillcrest, Leck, Letterkenny, F92 F6C5.
Peacefully, in the caring hands of the staff in Hillcrest Nursing Home, Letterkenny. Predeceased by his wife, Geraldine (January 8, 2012), brothers Willie, Jack and Phonsie, and sisters Margaret, Winnie, Kitty, Molly, Grainne and Florrie.

Deeply missed by his loving daughters Elaine, Aine and Deirdre, grandchildren Millie, Molly, Féilim and Saoirse, nieces and nephews, and his dear companion Alice Doherty and a wide circle of friends and good neighbours.

Funeral from his late residence, going to St. Eunan's Cathedral, for Requiem Mass 11am on Thursday, April 27, with burial afterwards in Holy Cross Church burial grounds, Dunfanaghy. Charlotte Sheeran, (née O'Driscoll), Sallybrook, Mullinasole, Laghey/ Carrick-on-Shannon/ Magherafelt

The death has occurred of Charlotte Sheeran, (née O'Driscoll), Sallybrook, Mullinasole, Laghey/ Carrick-on-Shannon/ Magherafelt, peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 25, to the great sadness of her children John, Jane, Denis, Mary and Mark, their spouses and her wonderful grandchildren.

Predeceased by her husband John and her brothers and sisters Monica, Nancy, Denis, Fonsie, Tom, Canice, Joe and Noel.

Removal to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Mountcharles, on Thursday, April 27 to arrive at 7pm for funeral Mass on Friday, April 28, at 1pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Donations in lieu, if wished, to UNICEF Ireland. House private.

Jennifer Margaret Mackey (née Young), Cashelfeane, Dunkineely

The death has occurred of Jennifer Margaret Mackey (née Young), Cashelfeane, Dunkineely, F94 Y381 peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her mother, Pearl. Sadly missed by her loving husband Willie, sons Edward (Clair), Ryan and Andrew, her father Eddie, her brothers Trevor, Desmond, and John and her sister Heather, her adoring grandchildren Elliot, Rowan, Isla, nieces, nephews, extended family neighbours and friends.

Her remains will repose at her home on Wednesday from 2pm to 8pm.

Funeral service on Thursday in Saint Peter's Church, Killaghtee, at 1pm followed by committal in the adjoining graveyard.

Seán Ó Beirne, Seán Chon Johnny, Teileann

Cailliúint mhór é dá thriúr deirfiúracha, Máire, Eileen agus Anna Bella (Norah), a dheartháir céile William, a neacht Aisling agus a bheirt nianna John agus Liam chomh maith le neart gaolta, comharsan agus cairde.

Beidh faire ina theach cónaithe ó thráthnóna Dé Céadaoine, 2in. Cuirfear é i Reilig na Carraige, Dé hAoine, Aibreán 28ú, i ndiaidh Aifreann a 12 i dTeach Pobail na Carraige.

Seán Byrne, known as Seán Chon Johnny, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 22.

He will be sadly missed by his sisters Máire, Eileen and Anna Bella (Norah), his brother-in-law William, his niece Aisling and his nephews John and Liam, and a wide circle of relatives and friends.

His remains will repose at his late residence from 2pm on Wednesday, April 26. Removal to St Columba’s Church, Carrick on Friday, April 28 for 12 noon Funeral Mass and burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Seán was a much-loved, talented musician and singer and will be greatly missed in the local community and among musicians all over the country. The Byrne family would like to thank you all for your kind support at this difficult time.

Val Phillips, Drogheda / Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Val (Edward Valentine) Phillips, late of Letterkenny and formerly of Boyle O’Reilly, Drogheda, Co Louth.

Unexpectedly on April 20. Predeceased by his parents Mary Catherine and Peter, brother Brian and daughter-in-law Nicola. Sadly missed by his daughters Mandy and Catherine, sons Mark and David and their mother Claire, sons-in-law Graham and Noel, daughters-in-law Bernie and Emma, sisters Mary, Hilda, Rosaleen, Bernie, Dolores and Doreen, brother Peter, his 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

The sudden death has occurred of Tony Clarke, 24 Cloncool Park, Buncrana. Husband of Michelle and dear father of Nicola, Darren, Shannon, Callum, Jordan, Caolán and Molly.

Deeply regretted by his wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, his extended family and friends.

Reposing at Murphy's Funeral Home (F93PW96) on Wednesday, April 26 and Thursday, April 27 from 6pm to 9pm each evening. Removal Friday, April 28, at 9.15am to St Mary's Oratory, Buncrana for 10am Requiem Mass followed by cremation at 4pm in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.
