Motorcyclist remains in hospital after Galdonagh collision

Gardai have appealed for information following a collision between a car and a motorcycle on Monday afternoon

A man in his 30s remains in hospital following a serious road traffic collision on Monday.

The man was a motorcyclist who was involved in a collision at Galdonagh, Manorcunningham shortly before 5.15pm.

The collision involved a car and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was removed from the scene by ambulance to be taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where he remains to receive treatment for injuries sustained.

The driver and passenger of the car were also taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

The car and the motorcycle were travelling from Raphoe towards Newtowncunningham on the L1214 when the collision occurred.

A Garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anybody who was travelling on that stretch of road around that time who had a dash cam to make the footage available to Gardaí.

“If anybody witnessed the collision who Gardaí have not yet spoken to then we ask them to make contact with us in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.”
