The ongoing consultation process surrounding the development of a Greenway between Ballybofey and Donegal Town continues today, Wednesday and tomorrow, Thursday with a further series of meetings between the developers and the public.

Donegal County Council with the support of Transport Infrastructure Ireland is asking residents of both areas, members of the public and other interested parties to participate in the second non-statutory public consultation events.

The project is currently in the Option Selection Stage, which involves the development and assessment of potential route corridors to determine a Preferred Option.

Following the feedback received during the first non-statutory public consultation held in February 2023, a number of Route Corridor Options have been identified.

The purpose of this public consultation is to inform the public of the option selection process and to invite feedback on these Route Corridor Options.

To facilitate this, two in-person public consultation events will take place in Donegal Town and Ballybofey as follows:

Wednesday, June 21: 12 noon – 6pm in the Abbey Hotel, The Diamond, Donegal Town, F94 AP8W

Thursday, June 22: 12 noon – 8pm in Jackson’s Hotel, Glenfin Street, Ballybofey,  F93 RD40

For additional project information, or to complete the feedback form online, you can visit the dedicated project website at https://barnesmoregapgreenway.ie

Submissions will be accepted until Friday, July 7.

If you cannot attend one of our in-person events and are unable to access the website, please feel free to
