The seaside resort of Rossnowlagh will once again provide the backdrop for the annual Orange Order early Twelfth procession this Saturday, July 8, four days before the main demonstrations in Northern Ireland.

An estimated 50 lodges from Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan and Cavan as well as visiting Orangemen from across the border and further afield will take part in the parade which begins close to St John's Parish Church at 12.30pm. It will then make its way down the narrow country road to the demonstration field on the edge of the shoreline.

This annual gathering is renowned for its family-friendly atmosphere and minimal security presence. A religious service will be held at 3pm. It will be conducted by Rev Brian Russell, Rector of Drumholm Parish and a collection will be held on the day in aid of Orange charities. The parade will leave the demonstration field at 4.45pm.

County Grand Master of Donegal, Wor. Bro. David Mahon, has issued an open invitation to come and join them at the resort. He says as this year's parade is close to the actual Twelfth of July Bank Holiday in N Ireland, he anticipates there will be a big number of tourists visiting the resort this year.
