This year's #LoveDonegal day takes place on Thursday, September 14, and is the day when anyone and everyone who has a connection to and an affinity for Donegal will take to their socials to proclaim their love for Donegal.

This day, which is co-ordinated by Donegal County Council’s Economic Development team, has been a huge success in previous years reaching millions of people all over the world and this year the team are keen to make it even more successful.

Cathaoirleach Cllr Martin Harley is urging everyone to get behind the initiative saying this is a great opportunity for people from Donegal as well as those people who have a great affinity for the county to share  their thoughts with the rest of the world.

“I’m calling on all the people of Donegal near and far to give a huge shout out to the place they call home and to support Love Donegal Day on Thursday  September 14. Over the last number of years we have had great support from various well known Donegal people who are only too pleased to support their county and highlight what makes it unique as a place to live, work, study, explore and invest in and I’m sure they will continue to support his years campaign.”

Taking part is simple. All you have to do is use the #LoveDonegal or #DúnnanGallAbú in your social media posts on Thursday, September 14. You can also tag the organisers on Instagram through @Donegal_IrelandsDNA

More information on how to get involved in the campaign are available on https://donegal.ie/lovedonegal
