With only 100 bottles being released, there has been a massive demand for the Sliabh Liag Single Malt Irish Whiskey.
This is the first whiskey to be legally distilled in Donegal since 1841, and Sliabh Liag Distillers in Ardara has already built a strong reputation for innovation, quality and a deep connection with place and heritage.
Little wonder then that there is such demand for their last and long awaited first Donegal-distilled whiskey.
A spokesperson said: "Due to the level of interest and the substantial volume of entries we've received, we’re unable to respond individually to each email. However, please be assured that your entry is now a part of the ballot process.
"We wanted to let everyone know that the ballot is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 26, where we will randomly select the fortunate participants who will have the opportunity to purchase."
The price per bottle is €300 and each decanter comes with a commemorative Tuath glass and a precious 2ml tasting sample.
The spokesperson added: "Keep an eye out for our follow-up email, where we'll reveal whether your entry was a winner or not."
"On behalf of our whole team, we are so grateful for your unwavering enthusiasm for our products. Your support fuels our mission to honour Donegal's distilling heritage and share our unique smoky whiskeys with the world."
