Interesting Glenfin subjects to open new historical society sessions

First meeting of the new term for Ballybofey, Stranorlar and District Historical Society takes place tonight

The Ballybofey, Stranorlar and District Historical Society reconvene at the Henderson Hall, Golf Course Road in Stranorlar tonight, Monday September 25 at 7.30pm.

This month's special guest is Glenfinn historian John Gallagher who will give  a talk on John Pitt Kennedy who set up an Agricultural College in Cloghan in 1838 and his influence on the local area.

John was also touch on local landlord Charles Styles who was Pitt Kennedy's father-in-law. This talk is free of charge and everyone is welcome to attend.

Meetings and talks take place on the the fourth Monday of the month in the Henderson Hall.
