Downings and Ramelton Wellness Café at Sip&Slice
Downings Wellness Café visited Ramelton Wellness Café in Sip&Slice on Wednesday, October 8. RTÉ were also in attendance recording a feature for the CountryWide Show on RTÉ Radio One.
CountryWide is an RTÉ Radio One podcast which showcases people and events that bring colour to communities, towns and villages across Ireland. The weekly podcast is available on Saturdays at 8 am.
“Thanks to everyone who attended and, don't forget, everyone is welcome to come along and have a cuppa and a chat - it's as simple as that! A great way to get out and meet new people,” Milford District and Resource Centre shared on social media.
The wellness cafés have been established for individuals to connect within the community, enabling people to meet up and chat over a cup of tea.
Across Donegal, there are currently fifteen wellness cafés. The cafés are a peer-led programme co-facilitated by the HSE Mental Health Services.
