There is much shock and sadness in the wider Donegal Town community following the death of Stephen Love, Finnabanes.
Stephen died suddenly on Wednesday, January 10, leading to an outpouring of grief and support for his bereaved family.
A tribute on the Leghowney Community Hall expressed what many people are feeling: “Today the Community is struggling to come to terms with the tragic news which broke yesterday morning of the sudden and untimely death of Stephen Love, Finnabanes.
“Words seem utterly useless at this time of devastating loss and grief to his wife Glenda and beautiful young daughters Clara and Sophia.
“The entire community has been draped in a vale of sadness, having to saying goodbye too many times over the Christmas and New Year.
“The Leghowney Community sends deepest condolences, support and love to Glenda, Clara and Sophia at this heartbreaking time. Sending deepest sympathy to Stephen’s daughter Caoimhe and son Jack and his brothers Bertie, Billy and Thomas, sisters Elizabeth and Margaret, his mother-in-law Ann and to all the Love and Kane families.”
Stephen’s remains are reposing at the family home at Finnabanes, Donegal Town, F94 D2T4 on Friday, January 12 from 3pm to 9pm, and Saturday, January 13 from 1pm to 6pm. A one way system will operate for the wake. Please enter via Finnabanes and exit via Finnadoose and Clogher. The house is private at all other times please.
Funeral service will take place in Donegal Parish Church, Sunday, January 14, at 2.30pm. The funeral cortege will be arriving at Donegal Parish Church from Finnabanes via Water Street and Tir Chonail Street. Burial will take place in the Glebe Cemetery, Donegal Town.
