With Storm Isha bringing strong and damaging winds, a number of homes and businesses on the Donegal coast have been hit by power cuts.

On Sunday afternoon, close to 600 premises were without power in the Derrybeg area. Service has been restored.

In Rossnowlagh, around 30 premises are without electricity. Crews are working in difficult conditions to restore power.

A spokesperson for ESB Networks said: "We apologise for the loss of supply. We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible."

Meanwhile, ESB Networks is advising members of the public of the extreme danger of fallen power lines.

They have issued the following message: "Fallen Electricity Wires are live and dangerous. Never approach or touch them. Call our emergency service immediately on 1800 372 999 or 021 2382410, or call the emergency services on 999 or 112."
