Finner weather station had its highest maximum temperature for January on record with 14.7 °C on Tuesday January 23.
Ten days of ground frost were recorded at both Malin Head and Dublin Airport in January.
Nearly all rainfall totals were below their 1981-2010 Long-Term Average (LTA) for the month and all available sunshine totals were above their LTA.
Donegal experienced one of its fiercest storms when Storm Isha howled across the county, leaving over 40,000 without power.
A gust of 133km/h, the peak wind speed, was recorded at the Malin Head station during a red alert from Met Éireann.
Fallen trees, ESB poles, electrical wires and debris were left strewn across roads and travel was affected for a couple of days.
